Early Intervention

The goal of EI is to help children be successful in their early childhood years and in the future, and to prevent or address problems before they worsen. 

Early Intervention mission is to identify and evaluate as early as possible those infants and toddlers whose healthy development is compromised and provide for appropriate intervention to improve child and family development.

At Speak Easy Studio is our responsibilities to nurture and enhance their children's development and ensuring services are delivered in natural environments.

  • Early Intervention AKA EI is an intervention program that helps young children who do not meet typical age appropriate milestones or present with disability or delay.

  • To be eligible for services, children must be under 3 years of age and have a confirmed disability or established developmental delay, as defined by the State, in one or more of the following areas of development: physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and/or adaptive.

  • The Early Intervention Program offers a variety of therapeutic and support services to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families, including:

    • assistive technology devices and services

    • audiology

    • family education and counseling, home visits, and parent support groups

    • nursing services

    • nutrition services

    • occupational therapy

    • physical therapy

    • psychological services

    • service coordination

    • social work services

    • special instruction

    • speech pathology

    • vision services

  • Its never to soon to consider Early Intervention. If you have concerns about your child developmental growth. contact your Pediatrician and discuss your concerns AND seek out a provider that can assist in screening and/or an evaluation.

  • Early Intervention services can be provided anywhere in the community where your child typically spends their day like:

    • Home

    • Daycare

    • Library

    • Community/recreational centers

    • Playgrounds,
